As GitKraken continues to experience tremendous, fast-paced growth in the market, we're aggressively expanding our physical presence in San Francisco. We have opened a small office focused primarily on sales and marketing in the Bay Area and West Coast. We’re looking for multifaceted team members who are excited by the opportunity to utilize and grow a variety of skills. This hybrid role combines two related roles that have the following responsibilities.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities

As the GitKraken Git Client and Glo Boards continue to advance in features and complexity, we are building out the sales team to include Sales/Solutions Engineers with deeper technical expertise. In this role, you will assist the San Francisco sales team in the office, in meetings (both virtual and physical), and in the field (at conferences/events), to help bring on new GitKraken customers through your product knowledge and technical skills. You will be involved in technical product demos, understanding customer environments and scenarios, setting up new test environments, and other tasks related to bringing on new customers.

Skills

To successfully perform in this role, the following skills are essential:

  • Excellent understanding of Git (Prior knowledge of GitKraken a plus)
  • Familiar with software development tools and technologies
  • Familiar with Virtual Machine setups & Docker
  • Familiar with Linux, Windows and OS X

Developer Relations (DevRel) Responsibilities

The GitKraken Sales and Marketing team in San Francisco is also heavily focused on growing our brand awareness and community. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to present on various software development topics, educate developers and company decision makers about our tools, promote diversity in tech, and present on various other related topics that showcase our industry knowledge and expertise.
